M.I.A.

I've been M.I.A. for a while. I've been busy and just haven't really felt any urge to post anything on here. Maybe because I haven't had anything exciting to talk about. Here's some recent pictures!
Can you say "big damn tires???"

Mothers Day

These are the pretty flowers that my dad bought me for Mothers Day! He's so thoughtful :-) My children on the other hand informed me that they are not my servants (I had only asked them to help me carry out our bags to the car). Happy Mothers Day.

2 Tablespoons

My mom had a stroke last year and I know that can affect a person's personality. Sometimes I have to wonder if it's the stroke talking or truly mom's personality coming thru. For example: we were in Krogers a few weeks ago buying groceries for a cookout and a birthday party. When we get to the ice cream section I grab a container of the Kroger brand and mom proceeds to tell me "that's not the right one". Well mom this is the smallest size they have.....and she tells me she wants the half gallon container of vanilla. She is looking for the rectangle containers and I tell her that they don't have those anymore because they have redesigned the package. I guess this really bothers mom because she proceeds to tell me in a rather loud voice that they are charging the same price but you get 2 TABLESPOONS LESS ICE CREAM. The guy passing close to us starts laughing. Gotta love mom and her 2 tablespoons.

My Pictures

Photography is a hobby of mine. Maybe one day I will buy a really nice camera. For now my Kodak Easy Share will have to do.

This is the carriage house at My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown, KY. Taken the summer of 2008.

A magnolia tree

The is the gate to the cemetary at My Old Kentucky Home.

I took this one while driving down the highway....yes I am one of THOSE people that do everything else while driving. I have even mastered putting on mascara and not even getting a smudge!

Here we are!

Drum roll if you please..............
This is the person two people call "Mommy" a.k.a. Tanya

And this...........

is my emotionally handicapped dog, Dale. He use to have a brother named Chip. Yes they were quite the pair....Chip and Dale. But that is a story for another day when I can deal with it.

I AM

I have decided to jump on board and run with the crowd and have a blog. What could possibly be interesting about my life? Don't really know the answer to that particular question, maybe one day I will have a follower and I will be sure and ask them. As for me I possess no outstanding qualities that I can rave about. I enjoy taking pictures and will post as many as possible on here. I think I have a bit of dry humor, thanks to my dad. Howdy folks. But for all I know i'm the only one laughing at my wit. At least I get ME.

Who am I? I am a single mom (and who isn't these days) and I own one emotionally needy dog. I would love to share pictures of my wonderful children but I have been cursed with a paranoid ex-husband who thinks if I have their pictures online they will automatically become the target of crazed kidnappers. So until they turn 18 or my ex gets carted off to mental health I will just have to relay stories about my boys and you can put your imagination to work. So to substitute I will post as many pictures as I can of my one child with fur. Maybe that will help him with his emotional issues. (Yes mommy loves you and it IS amazing that I keep coming home everyday) I live in the Midwest region of the United States, vague I know but I have to keep on my toes and keep those kidnappers away. Maybe I can get kidnapped myself by a nutty millionaire who never had a daughter and always wanted one!! Wistfully dreaming....

Here's to champagne riches and caviar dreams!
